Peel Castle

Peel Castle was built at Porthleven in 1929 for Rodda Williams and Ben Green Batten, she was registered as PZ17 and worked out of Newlyn and Brixham for a number of years. She later served in the Second World War as a harbour patrol boat, before being laid up. The present owner, Graham Bailey of Skibbereen in Ireland, bought the former fishing boat in 1999 and rebuilt her as a three-masted lugger.
